For a final project in a darkroom photography class I used a 120 Holga camera to shoot double exposures of people and nature. I enjoyed shooting and making prints for the project quite a bit, and have always liked the idea of putting two pictures on top of each other to create new meanings for both of the photographs.
For a cyanotype project in an alternative processes in photography class I put a photograph of a nature landscape on top of a photograph of my own body to create a new meaning for the photographs. I feel that creating photos like this has strengthened ideas and creations with fine art photography.
I have combined portraits with geometric shape in an alternative processes in photography tintype project. I found the newer, edgy photograph made with a tintype structure to be thought provoking.
This semester, I would like to learn lighting studio techniques on how to shoot successful, stunning portraits and still lifes. I would like to explore manipulating photographs more as well. In December during winter break I experimented with making a low poly portrait. I enjoyed the process and result of the low poly portrait and would like to explore the concept more.
